Are the kicker L7's better than the alpine Type R's? And yeah, my friend has an alpine and it is pretty sweet, I'd go with they are saying, an alpine type R.

I dont like the sound of an Type R, i would go with a Phoenix gold RSD or RSDC.. Give it 600 watts or 800 CLEAN and you will have a hard hitting setup.

Better solution than an R imo.

Diamond audio d3 12" subwoofer. They have them at onlinecarstereo.com for $129. Get one and put it in a 2.0 cubic foot box and it'll slam and sound good. I can't stress this to people enough. If your on a budget diamond audio is where it's at.
