What Now? JL vs Kicker ! Im lost !!

A friend of mine offered me a pair of JL 10W6 for about the same price of a Kicker L5 15´

They both fit my amp.

With combination have more power?

Please help me.

JL Audio is clearly the most overated audio company in the world..yet those JL Subs hit pretty good..kinda like hittin the stink pink..so go with the JL's

of the JL's i've played with, i really cant find a low point in their sub's... yes they're pricey but usually if you by them the dealer or company itself will give you they're second born with respect to service. why would you think they're the most overrated?

Well what are you looking for?? SPL, SQ, SQL???? How much space are you willing to give up for each driver?? All inportant questions, what amp do you plan on using???? All will help us help you...

As it stands I'd chose the JL's, however if you upgrade to an L7 then I would say kicker....I'm just not a real big fan of the l5's.

Sound preference however will make your decision for you, SQ or SPL?

i would choose the jl's they produce a good clean sound and deliver alot of bass if installed right

Neither....SQ of the kickers isnt that good, but the price is.... SQ of the JL's is great, but wow, how bout that price. So rediculous. An RE XXX is way better price wise and sounds just as good...imo

The JL's can be expensive but they do sound great on all music. If you listen to Rap and techno etc the L5 would probably do well, especially ported. I had the new 15 inch L7 and it got very loud but took a lot of work to make it sound average on music that had quick changes in bass drum and bass guitar etc. I have also had a W7 which was great but very expensive just like everyone else says, take a good look at RE and Adire. I have the RE SE 12 and like it every bit as much as the W7 at almost one third the cost.

If they are the new W6v2's and at a good price just take those and you will be happy.

The L5 15" has way more potential to get loud in a ported enclosure. The JL 10's will sound good sealed, adn have decent output. how a woofer 'sounds' is mainly reflected on how it's installed.
