what motors would you use

between the konaki's or 05 model xxx motors what would you use for a good sounding daily sub that can take around 2.2-2.5k watts each? Im worried that the konakis wont have good enough cooling, from what i have heard they cant dissipate heat very well.

XXX motors hands down, they are built for an SQ sub since they utilize XBL^2 tech whereas the Konaki motors are made for fart subs.

If I had the money for the XXX motors, yes, I would go with them. If I was a budget minded person or just couldnt see myself shelling out that much for a motor, I would go with the Konaki's.

Be it I am a broke type dude, I chose the Konaki's and do not feel like I made a bad choice, after reconing them, the sound great and are working well for me.

no.

xxx all day. although you wont need a true 2-2.5kw

I prefer the XXX's but you might be in a spot of trouble under 2.2-2.5 kW. I wouldn't recommend any more than 2 kW daily unless you really know what you're doing....even then...
