What material to use?

Sounds like a good idea to me. Just make sure the edges fit together nice and flush with no gaps. The glue is a bonding agent not a filler. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Most likely not. Any damping from materials simply takes away the total air you have inside the box, and so causing greater roll off at the bass frequencies.

You probably can HEAR deep bass better by damping, even though the sub isnt creating any more, simply because the high-bass and low mids (if any) in an undamped badly sealed box made the sound muddy.
