Also, as a reference, my Durango flexed like crazy... but my bimmer doesn't flex hardly at all. A lot of it depends on the vehicle.

So you want alot of ventalation to the trunk? In that case, I have this compartment that folds down into the trunk. That is right behind where I plan on putting the subs.
Im just wondering on the flex thing.

Yeah port the subs into the trunk with the subs firing up at the roof that might get some flex LOL

Not always true

Never seen a ported system that seemed to move less air with a huge port than an equivalent system with a smaller port...its usually SIGNIFICANTLY the other way around, at least in my experience

YOU shoudl get a pair of seperate componets for highs - what frequency is your box ported to and how big is it "custom" does not mean loud.

Looks like you need about twice the power on tap as well, with 3k+ and the right box you will be loud but flex and hair tricks especially are the extreme upper end of loud.

couple grand in electrical and wires

Don't always need alot of port area. Not the best hair trick, its on a tone and window only half down, but 4 15's sealed in a magnum:
