Nothing stopped covid, Jim. Covid happened, and all of the measures did nothing but ruin our economy and the mental health of the US. Vaccines don't and didn't stop the spread, most masks people used didn't work, and social distancing doesn't mean jack shit with an aerosolized virus, unless you're like on the other side of a warehouse from people. The lockdowns and covid measures did far more harm than good for the entire world, and that was all part of the plandemic.
Or so you claim. But since distancing does work and masks do work and geometric growth is what it is, millions probably 10s of millions were saved from contracting Delta, which was pretty deadly. Just because your standard is "Covid wasn't stopped dead in its tracks" doesn't make that my standard or a good standard for a country or the world to go by. I'll take the minor inconvenience of the mask (which I didn't care for) for the thousands (10 - 100s of thousands) of livea it saved. TBH, wearing a mask to save fellow Americans is nothing considering I was willing to take a bullet for them.

Clearly the mask, et al did phuck up people's mental health, for example, conspiracy theorist grew ~10 fold as did Antifa. If I knew so many of my fellow Americans were so mentally fragile, maybe I wouldn't have been as supportive of masks and lockdowns. But since I don't have a crystal ball, you proceed on the data you have, not on the assumption that 10s of millions of Americans will lose their ******** minds over some minor inconveniences to prevent the spread of a deadly disease.

@Jimi77 The lockdowns caused this. Is this what you want? Do you want kids becoming dumber and having ill-developed brains, when they have almost a 0% chance of dying from Covid? Do you ever consider the larger consequences of what you promote? Show me the growth curve of how this is going to impact our nation:

"Key findings from the study:

  • While students grew academically in the 2022-23 school year, achievement gains fell short of pre-pandemic trends in most grades, with the exception of the youngest students who bucked this trend and made above average achievement gains.
  • The gap in achievement levels between the COVID cohort and their pre-pandemic peers did not shrink in 2022-23, and in some grades widened slightly.
  • With these latest numbers, it’s estimated that most students would now need, on average, an additional 4.5 months of mathematics instruction and 4.1 months of reading instruction to recover in these two subjects.
  • All groups showed sluggish achievement gains, but traditionally marginalized students (Black, Hispanic), remain furthest from recovery."

My crystal ball was broke during the pandemic. If I knew people would lose their minds and become so full of hatred and bigotry, I may not have supported masks, etc. Then again if my crystal ball was working, instead of not caring about whether Clinton won or lost, I would have actively campaigned against Trump, so he couldn't stoke the culture war fires, I would have shorted the airlines, etc, etc, etc. I severely over estimated people's ability to tolerate minor inconveniences for ~1-2 years. I have friend who constantly reminds me "you can't go wrong underestimating the American public." That phrase applies by the truck full to this matter. Perhaps if teachers weren't under constant attack they wouldn't have fled education and we could catch kids up, but I guess those that like to continuously berate teachers, school boards and teachers unions, etc, couldn't possibly have predicted that would lead to teachers fleeing education - or perhaps that was planned too.

Yeah I am going to have to jump in here an say something. The numbers on mask efficacy are bullshit. The MAJORITY of people I saw wearing mask (as I worked in the retail environment) were not worn correctly. Hanging under the nose, under the chin and so on. They may have had a mask and if ask would say they wore a mask but it's all bullshit.

In fact I would say the people wearing mask properly and of proper fit were in the minority.

Ah, yes, it’s funny to make fun of how much covid ruined children’s educational, mental, and social development. Real f*cking hilarious, Jim. All the kids who killed themselves due to social isolation from lockdowns, when they had almost no chance of dying from covid: HILARIOUS. It’s really funny how all the old people in nursing homes couldn’t see their families during covid, in which old people died alone. That’s hilarious, when grandma and grandpa died without being with their families. It was so f*cking funny, when non-essential businesses, that kept families fed, were shut down. What a hoot!

Don’t have to have a crystal ball to see that shutting down the economy would….shut down and permanently harm the economy, etc. It’s hilarious, but only when lockdowns cause the prices of everything to go up, causing stress on poorer communities and everyone. I could go on forever; you only see minor inconveniences due to your lack of empathy.

How deadly was covid? Lol. It’s really not that deadly at all; it just spreads fast, because it’s a gain of function bioweapon designed to spread fast.

There was no evidence to support the forcing of mask wearing would stop covid. It’s so god damn absurd; masks were NEVER about protecting anyone’s health. Almost all of the masks people were recommended/forced to wear, including just covering your face with random cloth materials, none of that could ever have a chance in hell of protecting against an aerosolized virus. What a joke! Wearing a mask all day at work is also terrible for your health, for a few reasons, including bacteria sickness from moisture buildup on the masks and unsafe levels of co2 behind the masks that people were breathing back in all day long.

It was all an illegal operation to train people to be compliant to tyranny whenever tyranny says so. People shouldn’t lose their rationality under fear.

Same thing with social distancing, 6 foot rule was just the number they thought people would actually be willing to follow; it literally had nothing to do with health safety.

I mean, the gov made us bend over backwards to comply with the baseless, tyrannical health rules over covid, and they were all bullshit. Like I say, it’s just an exercise to train you to comply with illegal health orders. When people who were vaccinated didn’t have to wear masks, but people who weren’t vaccinated had to wear masks that didn’t protect them, that was purely a humiliation exercise to try and force compliance; it had absolutely nothing to do with protecting people.

Hope people don’t fall for it again!

More conspiracy theories. Nothing was going to "STOP" covid, nothing. You act like we shouldn't have done anything to try and "CONTROL" covid. The whole World was trying to slow the spread of covid. It wasn't just the United States. We didn't have to wear a mask 24/7. It really wasn't that big of a deal. If it only helped 1% then it was worth it IMO. I would wear them again.

But if 3x as many people are catching it.... Hospitalization and deaths spiked big time when Delta hit.
So a 99.7% survivability rate overall was too big of risk...I thought like I think now...on a daily basis I'm sure everyone does something with a higher mortality rate that three tenths of a percent...I guarantee I do just a work 🤣

As I said, I had no way of knowing how mentally fragile the American public is. I don't find it funny at all that people lost their ******** minds over wearing masks, or keeping 6 feet apart in public places, etc. It's actually quite depressing that so many people are actually on the verge of some sort of mental break down.

It is odd that you don't seem to place any of this blame on Trump or the anti-maskers who contributed just as much to the hatred and divide as the pro-mask/vax crowd and spread much more misinformation. Strange how that works. Just like the mandates get no credit for the lives they saved, only blame for the things that got phucked. Just like the vax gets no credit for the lives saved, just the ones lost. Just like the CDC gets no credit for transparency, unless "you guys" can spin their data to match your narratives.

And as such we have 3rd brake lights on cars and wear seat belts, etc to improve our odds. It's not like they were asking you to wear a full bio suit - it was just a mask. As I said some minor inconveniences for 1-2 years. I did 6 years of some major ******** inconveniences for my fellow Americans, but as I've been saying, clearly I overestimated the American public.

I don't wear my seat belt and my 3rd brake light got yanked when I was deadening my rear gate...I will say seatbelts do save lives though...3rd brake lights and masks were more along the lines "feel good" solutions so politicians public figures could appear to be doing something...
