I bet you dollars to doughnuts that anyone of these people who immediately start responding to stuff like this with "Anti-Vax" and "Anti-Science" talk are the first people who have something to lose be it face, money or jobs. Frightened that they will be silenced and canceled.

“Corporate press”. You realize the news in the US is not state-controlled, don’t you?
Are you from Russia?
You must not know how lobbying and money works in America. It doesn’t have to be “state controlled” to be controlled by the state. Russia has private media also, they just have to step over many stories about the government to avoid getting the doors busted in by the tax man and police. Are you really that naive?

What’s funny is that liberals used to complain about corporate media in the 90s and Republicans called them “conspiracy theorists”. Now it’s the exact opposite. We are too stupid to deserve a free country.

Corporate news is not State Controlled in the US. While most the news is crap, clearly there is diversity of viewpoints & plenty of anti-gov't rhetoric.

There is diversity in the commentary hosts on the news channels. The actual news reports themselves are essentially all the same. I don’t know who the “news guy” is on the major channels any more. I don’t know who is doing it these days, but I bet they are all a carbon copy. Chris Wallace at Fox News was a basic news guy. Who does the news over there now?

And yet none of this conspiracy has been blown wide open by competing networks or independents?
Lobbying is private groups trying to control the gov't, not the gov't trying to control private groups.
Are you suggesting that a business like Faux news posts all of the lies and the Republican ass-svcking that they do at the behest of the government?

Exactly who does the tax man go after when a story is published about the gov't? The author? Editor? Office manager? Rupert Murdoch?

That’s exactly what I’m saying. Fox News screwed themselves by bribing republicans expecting that it would give them power, but it actually gave the Republicans the power. Are you saying that Fox News is a legitimate news source? And the IRS is the biggest weapon in the government arsenal

They are talking heads and have been so for decades. When there were only 3 major networks, they all ran the same news and no one was all that worried about ratings. They tended to hold their core audience. And then 24/7 "news" channels started popping up...
