Dude, the scientist could go on TV with a signed affidavit attesting to the fact that he is telling the truth and Rob would still call bullshit. Unless the scientist was a Biden voting democrat of course. Then truth doesn't matter, he will side with him by default.

Actually the standard I've seen Rob usually abide by has nothing to do with Biden or politics. Generally, he (and I) like peer reviewed studies. Even though scientists (and doctors) tend to be pretty smart dudes, they do make mistakes. So some other smart dudes review their work and point out any issues/errors that need to be addressed. For example, the doc that first came with the Ivermectin helps control Covid study had it ripped apart upon peer review and actually recanted after further review. However, as studies have continued regarding Ivermectin/covid, it's generally accepted that Ivermectin offers the slightest of benefit for treating covid. Not enough that Merck is bothering with clinical trials. Probably seems nonsensical to the "heads" at Merck to use a drug that knocks a day off your hospital stay when there is another available that reduces the chances of that hospital stay 10 fold.

Well I guess you finally picked a side. I noticed you balancing on the fence for a while when you joind the forum... talking equally from both sides. Seems you have settled left finally. Good for you. ;)

I'm definitely politically independent. I'm not sure why accepting peer reviewed studies is "leftist;" care to explain that one? Or is it the fact I think Merck's decision not pursue clinical trials that makes me a "leftie?"

Let's just say you speak up and defend Rob here lately like he can't do it for himself. Which is fine, whatever makes you happy. People, for the most part, want to fit in and like minds tend to group together. Some people need that. I don't. But you guys do you.
You believe that you are an “independent” and “free-thinking” fellow, yet you do nothing but parrot things said by Trump, by Trumps sycophants, and by others here.
By the vast majority, the crap that you parrot is unfounded, untenable, implausible, baseless, unsubstantiated, fallacious, foundationless. Often harebrained, senseless, and asinine.
Far from independent, free-thinking, or even unique.

To help you make sense of all that: It means you DO need to fit in and be among like-minded people.
You also seem to be very uncomfortable when your beliefs and feelings go up against proof and fact.

If the scientist is making the statement, the addition of an affidavit means nothing. It’s the equivalent of saying “I’m telling the truth because I am telling the truth”. I’ve seen people lie under oath.
If you believe someone simply because they claim they are telling the truth, you are a sucker, plain and simple.

Saying it twice doesn’t guarantee truthfulness. Peer review? Physical evidence? Corroboration by others with proof? Yeah, that would help me believe.
