The ARDS is caused by the COVID, kid. Have you ever seen a death certificate?
And, your argument here would completely nullify all the idiots who say the flu killed people just as handily as COVID (they were wrong).

Influenza itself doesn’t kill you, it’s what happens to your body when you get it that kills you. That’s why it’s listed among the causes of death.
Getting hit with a bat doesn’t kill you, it’s the brain bleed. But the blunt force trauma gets listed as a COD.

This is basic stuff that we went over long ago.

Even when I am being factual and literal you guys still feel like you have to explain shit to people and want to use vagueness but when I am being vague you will only accept fact and literal examples. You try to tell me I flip flop to fit the narrative.... really? You speak of casting stones in a glass house... come on. It seems like all the things you accuse others of doing, you are practicing daily. I am well aware of direct and indirect actions, cause and effect. Don't try to educate me with your Google searches and half rate education son.

It’s like the fast food of discussions, sort of like the covid vaccine is the fast food of vaccines.

You think you are being “factual and literal” when you claim they can’t isolate COVID as the reason someone died.
That feeling of yours is neither “factual” nor “literal”. It’s your feeling, and it’s incorrect.

They can and do isolate COVID as a COD, just like they can isolate blunt force trauma as a COD, even though you die from the subdural hematoma.

Just because they are your feelings does not make them “factual and literal”.

That's not literal. COVID causes the complications that kill you. You know, like pneumonia. Stop arguing. Just stop because you are wrong.

If I bash your head with a hammer and you bleed to death then you died from blood loss. That's why it is stated that you "bled to death". The hammer blow is the cause of the blood loss. Case in point, Pelosi's husband was bashed in the head "blunt force trauma", he is still alive. Why? Because he didn't bleed to death.

I had COVID, I am not dead, why? Because it did not cause a complication that would kill me. For you to be correct you would say that person died from complications due to COVID. Read it, comprehend it. What did he die from? Answer "Complications". Use your brain once and not your search bar.

Being an English major, I have to address the misuse of "feeling" about something factual; ie "I 'feel' that Biden is responsible for inflation." We're misusing "feel" alot on here as does the general public. Feeling is emotional. In the case of the stuff we generally discuss here, "think or believe" would be more accurate, which is why we counter what somebody thinks with facts. Feel often gets substituted for think, because if the person was actually thinking about the matter at hand, then facts should be capable of swaying their thought process. Ie, "Since inflation is happening globally and is the "Fed's job," I no longer think Biden is responsible for inflation."

In politics, believe is probably/usually the best word. Usually, the person is not considering the facts (ie thinking). At best the person is only considering 1/2 the facts and reached an incontrovertible decision. Much like a religion, their thought process isn't rooted in facts; it's not really a thought process at all, it's a belief process. This shouldn't be confused with hypocrisy or double standards, because behind every double standard is a greater single standard. Ie, for a religious person, they believe (not think) a book of tales contains the answers. With politics, people choose to believe "their guys" and ignore sources with contradictory information, so they're not thinking about the matter at hand, they're reinforcing a belief system.

So some people believe the vax doesn't work, and are highly unlikely to think about it. That said, beliefs are often rooted in feelings; ie it feels good to believe "your guys", it feels good to be right it feels good to be part of the group, it's painful to examine ones beliefs, it's painful to do research, it's painful to be wrong, it's embarrassing to admit being wrong, etc. What I do find odd is people aren't "pained" by denying facts, aren't "pained" by twisted and distorted logic, aren't "pained" by a lack of supporting facts, etc....

LOL - okay so in your world people don't die from the flu, car accidents, Covid, cancer, gunshots, heart attacks, etc. If you say so.

I am wrong. Just like I was wrong with nerves being in bones. Just like I was wrong with averages. And percentages. And prices of gas. And etymology. Definitions. Science. Stock charts. Strategic petroleum reserve.

Except I’ve not been wrong about all that stuff. It’s been you. Every single time.

Here’s a snip of a death certificate. Please tell the class the three listed causes of death.
We’ll wait.

He knows better than all of the combined “industries” that are involved in such things as death and certification of death.

Just like he knows definitions better than the OED, economics of supply and demand better than all economists out there, anatomy better than Gray himself.

Stop crying. Either practice what you preach or don't but if you choose not to then don't demand it of others.

You are being “factual” when you deny what is listed as a COD on a death certificate, even when presented with the evidence of how a death certificate is written?

How do you consider denying a proof to be “factual”? The only thing factual is that you believe (based on your feelings) that you are correct, despite the evidence that proves otherwise.
You will of course, repeat the inaccuracies over and over, demanding that you are right no matter how much proof is given that you are wrong.
You do it every time.

So according to you, RobGMN, after this person died of ARDS he then died again of Pneumonia and then died yet again for the third and final time of COVID. Got it.
