The anti-vaxxers have definitely been resorting to disinformation. Some of as looney as the vax will turn me into a 5g antenna, make me magnetic and f'up my world when 5g goes live - all of those came for a doctor.

As for Bourla's statement 1) He's selling a product. 2) Vaccines are usually administered in a series. 3) I was well aware that "they" said the vaccine didn't produce long lasting protection as well as many other caveats they issued regarding the vaccine. I'm more concerned about this quote I was unaware of, where Al Bourla (Pfizer's CEO) claims the vaccine does not produce immunity. A statement like that (coming straight from the horse's mouth) would definitely make me rethink my position regarding the vaccine. An outright admission that it doesn't work in the least, that would be a game changer.

“Because I said so” doesn’t really fly as a way to support you claims. Go ahead and share the sta that supports your claims of the thousands of athlete deaths from the vax.

Not really...there's still no long term trials with mrna...and it's the long term phase that usually presents issues bringing medications or medical treatments to market...

Majority are people 65 and older, majority had 3 or more health issues many being serious health issues. You look at the numbers from ages 0-17 years old and 139 people died of the flu in 2019-2020. Same age group but with covid 199. Break it down and out of those 179 deaths involving covid there were many other underlining conditions like poisoning and things that it’s clear covid had nothing to do with it . The funny part is the charts they provide they will make the amount of deaths for each age group clear like 0-17 years old. But when you wanna see exactly what I said the underlining conditions and what they were, the age group changes to 0-24 years old so you can’t compare the exact numbers and do the math to subtract those deaths. I think what you're seeing is the conflating of what was two different groups, quite intentional by one of the groups. Looks to me like the anti-covid-vaxxers are being taken over by the anti-all-vaxxers. It wasn't so long ago anti-vaxxers were far and few between. Now they're ~22% of the population (according to this Texas A&M study). The real number is probably higher...

You can see it in the evolution of how they are arguing (or maybe more accurately not arguing). It's very pseudo-intellectual (like the anti-vax movement pre-Covid) and very believable if you don't do some research. Taken out of context the MMR vaccine is super scary (another vaccine I had to research myself because you just can't trust fear driven narratives). When looked at in proper context, MMR isn't so scary and the risk/reward scale heavily favors getting the MMR vax. Notice how they're using the old coincidence equals causality tactic for both vaccines (MMR & Covid). And of course without proper context it looks like mRNA is the devil's work. The excess deaths argument is a goldmine for the anti-vaxxers because while it's a great way to measure excess deaths, it's not that great at determining cause of death, so they're free to assign the cause as they see fit. Have you noticed how the "they cooked the books" narrative has faded to the background? The more sophisticated/experienced anti-all-vaxxers know that narrative is too conspiratorial and you only need to engage your brain momentarily to see that it's a highly unlikely scenario.

I suspect immunization resistance will be huge issue for my grandchildren's generation and I can only hope they don't catch avoidable diseases because they get exposed to an excessive viral load from an anti-vax family. And how do you approach it from a social/cultural standpoint? Sorry Bobby, you can hang out with Sammy cause his family are anti-vaxxers. I certainly don't want to hold somebody's beliefs against them, especially since they're Sammy's parents' belief, not Sammy's. But I don't want my grandkids crippled by Polio either. And then how does a parent explain, "Yes we're supposed to be accepting of other people's beliefs, but this is different." And with HIPPA, how does a parent know which kids are or aren't vaxxed - "I think I saw Trump Jr 2050 bumper sticker on Johny's dad's car, better not let Bobby spend the night over there?"

With Omicron, I'd say yes, this is the "new flu." But when it was Delta people were literally dying faster than we could get them in the ground.

CDC has a publication explaining how/why cause of death is tracked the way it is. And sometimes it's not as clear as a gunshot wound, ie Cancer patient just went into remission after 3 months of chemo, catches Covid and dies. Was it the Cancer, the chemo or the Covid???
