Currently. We're going to have to **** it up. Trillions of dollars were printed world wide to float the economy(s) thru the pandemic. Now it's time to pay the price for that decision - namely with inflation. The pandemic seriously disrupted economic relationships between businesses, worker, etc - that's not getting fixed overnight. It's going to take time and the bell cannot be unrung. Of course if I were running for President that would be a losing platform because the truth and facts don't work in politics.
One thing I would do (if I had magical powers) is put the fairness doctrine back in place and make it illegal for Youtube, etc to ban conspiracy theorist and misinformation peddlers. Personally, I'd rather have those folks out in the open than in an 8chan echo chamber being exposed to further radicalization.
That said, I'm starting to think we've reached a tipping point where the population has failed democracy and therefore democracy is no longer an ideal framework for our gov't. Ironically, if our gov't becomes a right wing autocracy/plutocracy, then the conspiracy theories that have powered the right wing to dominance would no longer be tolerated.
