I know little about Mexico other than rumors that it is cheap AF to live there compared to here. Why would he have to go through all that effort instead of just buying the stuff there? Was he going off-grid and literally wanted nothing traceable back to him?

Kind of. He doesn’t actually like it here but he comes back and forth from Mexico for VA appointments. He has money and VA benefits so he actually doesn’t need to work. He might work for 3 months and do his VA appointments then head out somewhere. He moved to Fiji for a little while, but he’s hack again to stay with his sick father for awhile, then he is moving to Austria I think. His ex-wife lives there.

When you join the military you don't get to pick and choose whether you want an FDA approved vaccine or not, just like you don't pick and choose whether you will go to war or not, or where you will go if activated.

This vaccine is experimental and it's illegal under American law AND, separately, international law, under the Nuremberg Code, to force anyone to take this injection. These vaccines have ONLY been approved for EMERGENCY USE, not for safety, which makes them 100% illegal to mandate, across the board. This administration will face war crimes, if we aren't in world war 3 before then.
