what is up with all the scamming lately

Paypal (paying for goods) is fine.

They have recovered my money at least 2 times.

Trades are always going to be risky.

Post counts will not matter really... look at some of the older guys thats been around that scammed... its you take the chance or make them ship first.. don't pay pal gift.. or anything like that.. One of the reasons why I stopped here back in 2003 cause I got scammed out of a sub and $300

Naaahhh, I could come onto this site and have equipment to sell and not be able to.. think of how much traffic that would limit.. you would need to purchase something an item just to sell.. but I think anything we will come up will have backlashes compared to the current parameters.. we just need to decide which has the least..

There should be some sort of rules. It really is getting rediculous. Makes me not want to buy anything from the classifieds at all.

It's tough to make rules on this though. People can still scam over 200 posts, even if they ship first it might be some crap product, etc. Fact is, you run a risk buying from someone over the internet. But I think this 200 posts is a good starting point, and would cut down on some of the sh1t.

People need to protect themselves. We take a degree of risk every time we buy online.

It's a free market and we all need to use good judement and take measures to protect ourselves.

Personally trades aren't something I would do unless someone has some ******* feed back.

There is almost no risk when using paypal properly. It takes around a month to get your money back, but you'll get it back.
