Alright, a little insight on my problem would be nice before I take it in. I have a tahoe that out of no where one day started fading in and out of the driver tweeter speaker, slowly as the days went by it got worse until it started making a loud buzzing noise through it. I took the speaker out of the molding and when I put pressure on it, it stops so I immediately thought - okay it's a blown speaker, order a new one. Well in the mean time, I unhooked the speaker and it started doing it through the drivers side door speaker now. Great! If I turn the stereo off, it will instantly stop, but about 5 seconds later it will start back up again. Sometimes it won't do it at all, sometimes it'll be really loud and it does it for cds, radio, or ipod. I asked a mechanic I know about it and he rambled off something about it maybe being amplifier related, but that is way passed my car knowledge. He said my best bet is to just bring it in and have them fix it. Any guesses to the, what I'm sure will be in shop time, million dollar question?
Really I'm just looking for some opinions, advice, or any type of explanation so I don't feel like such an idiot when I take it in.
