what is this? it came out of my mtx amp

smoke was comming out of my 5504 -5 chan mtx, just the 2 front chanels were being used, sub channel wasn't, i opened the amp and this part was melted, it was soildered next to the 5th channel, what is it ? i need to replace it as it is the only problem with the amp.

it's a circuit, send your amp back in and have it repaired or take it somewhere where... better yet by a new amp... once it's repaired it will never be the same ever again..

looks like a cap to me. are there any markings on it or one that looks like it.

markings, i think it says, 7 470nj 63

the amp has a few more of these in different places,

I just want to repair it, don't really car if it don't work the some as it is just a temp amp, getting 2 us amps, 1 for my highs and 1 for my sub..

That my friend is a cap or transistor? It looks more like a cap though. Either way you need to repair it. You can do it yourself buy buying a replacement at www.mcmelectronics.com - register FREE.
