What is this cable?

I was given this a while back...Looks like some sort of wireless something...It says "Alpine" on the back, and it has a 3.5mm jack on the other end. Anyone have any ideas?

The black thing is a two-piece, but it doesn't seem to come apart. The only thing on it is the wire that runs to the 3.5mm jack.

Got me stumped

maybe bluetooth adapter? I thought alpine used S-Bus but maybe? bluetooth to 3.5mm so the deck doesn't have to be bluetooth?

Gps antenna?

I bought a giant box of wires for $20 and it came with it. No idea of the vintage, doesn't look too old, but then again it is in perfect condition.
