I am currently working on a project for school. I am doing my project on thehistory and how to jump start a car. Well i am currently stuck and need to know the history of it, who invented it? when did it first start? stuff like that. I tried google and it jsut gave me a bunch of bull. Thanks.

its not much of an invention.. more like using some simple science. I think if you have any luck of finding anything it would be the inventor of the booster cables.. I would choose a new topic.

There isn't a "history"...it's called, physics //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif Some guy probably stuck out in the middle of nowhere with a bunch of cable, realizing that he could either find another battery to re-charge his or get eaten by a big bear in the woods.

I would have to agree, another topic would be in order...like the history of speakers, if you will. That would be interesting, getting into the work of Maxwell, Hertz, guys like that.

also very long and very very time comsuming

A basic history of the loudspeaker shouldn't take that long if you focus on the big points...like how voice coils work, how a motor structure is put together...backed up with the history of the people who made it. Talk about Theil and Small, and what they did for the field.

You're right, it could get huge...but the major points should be enough to fill up a good-sized paper.

thanks alot for all the responses guys. yeah but its kinda like uhh group project. And i cant put my hands down on this one. so i have to stick with this topic. :-/

my part is to find some kind of information about it, and the others have seperate jobs on it.. eeekk

no it will get huge because he *** to read all of the material in order to get the major points. Belive me I have researched this. It will get confusing very quick and plus u will have to re-read it like 3 times to understand it.

P.s. keep an dictionary handy

P.S.S. But i would change my paper to the parts of a speaker and how sound is producted. And I would also answer that age old question. If a tree falls and nobody is around to hear it does it make a sound?

Isn't that the point of a "research"...paper...to...umm...research? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/up2something.gif.dd110ecf3ae4b76050d87598f2f8de7c.gif

On a somewhat-related note, I once read a very good thread in an offroading forum about worst case scenarios, and they had some good ones for jump-starting your vehicle in about the worst situations possible - not the safest things, mind you, but the things you'd do when facing weeks in the desert or freezing to death in a snowstorm. I can't find the link, it's been a while...but I'm sure a USENET search would help you //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
