Yup, really wanted to keep it to do some bassrace practicing, but i also want to pick up a new gun and really can't justify having both. I can't have too much expensive **** layin around.

k well i need some idea for this year show wise

I was thinking about having head to head battles no meter just on people opinion. It will consist of spl, vocal and mids, and all out and we would have judge and the crowd to choose the winner. This year it would only be bass race to give everyone a equal chance and head to head battles. We could do a point system for this year that the end of the year the people from 3rd to 1st will get trophies depending on points and will have free events so people would enjoy. We would only hand out certificates at the show because trophies are expensive. Add some suggestions please. I think you will still need a meter, only because if you go by crowd vote, if you get a competitor that brings along his entire family and a guy that shows up solo the way I do, who do you think will win that vote? I think making it an affordable event, no sanctioning body like dB drag, iasca, usaci or anything like that, that way there is no no format rules. you show up, play what you want, with what you want. hell if someone wants to use turntables...let 'em. its about the system and how its built right? but I think music is the key to a sucessful event, not test tones. ANd play all out for a full minute. Just my opinion though, not like I know anything about sucessful events. lol

as long lenny doesn't charge people and doesn't do db drag we are good but you know lenny. Lets see, maybe I might just get the shows started in janurary and do a show every month and possibly 2 every month

I understand that it'll still be in categories Tom, I'm just saying there are some people that dont ride with an entourage of friends and family. and crowd judges will obviously vote for their friends or family members car.. so the TL should still be used.

And what store would the certificates be for? Me for one, I don't shop Car toys, quality or ultimate.. so what good would that do? Also you'll have people that will only shop at like Say Quality, so if they win a car toys certificate, what did they win? Just playing devils advocate here. keep it open for everyone to WANT to compete and win. Not that any Q.A.S. system WILL win..but still.. hahaha

i still like the idea of mixing bassrace and doing some port wars and other fun stuff. problem with fre show's is there is always going to be some cash coming out of the pocket from some one. so what if we charged for a show and gave away all the cash for it to the winner's? what if we stuck everyone in the 129.9 class to battle it out for all the cash. what if we did some pinks type ****? bet someone $10 that you could do between 129.7-129.9 3 times in a row or some thing to that effect.how about we do an average score 3 run's 30 hrtz,50hrtz,70hrtz test tones then average it out. i agree with th entourage thing but how would this determine a winner? i mean if you have sq set up that meters lets say 140 go against a spl vehicle in the 150's its 2 differant worlds and then turns into a popularity contest. the pinks idea sounds cool also maybe have some sort of handicap where the lower db vehicle can outlaw the mic and the louder vehicle has the legal placement type deal? dunno just another idea to even the field and get more people out.
