what is a watt?

a watt is a joule per second. a joule is a newton per meter and a newton is a kilogram meter per second squared. this gives you in its basic form.... a kilogram meter squared per second cubed. Now that you completely understand where a Watt comes from it can be related to volts and current using because a volt is a watt per amp. hope that clears everything up. oh and any physics textbook can answer that.

yeah... clear now lol i don't have a phyisics text book... but i got a AP calculus book lol... can i end a thread or does a moderator have to?

Dont forget Watts are a fairly consistant measurement of power until you involve Kicker equipment. Never forget 1 Kicker watt equals 5 to 10 Watts produced by most other amplifiers.
