What is a sign of being an alcoholic?

If you drink 1-2 beers a night (by a night, i mean every night) is that a problem? I really don't do it do get drunk or buzzed, i just like the taste of it a lot.

Is your BAC>GPA...if so, you **** at life...

I honestly doubt you'd be considered an alcolohic.
True alcoholics will drink vanilla, nyquil, mouthwash, and cologne if they can't get ahold of alcohol.They'll buy a big *** jug of cheap *** vodka and chug it like its water.

That's an alcoholic in my mind.I myself do it for the taste as well, and to relax.

So you come HERE to ask? Think about it man, if it affects your life negatively in any way, its a problem, a few beers a night is not a big deal at all unless it stops you from your life responsibilities... there is no set amount of drinks that makes you an alchy

its not really stopping me from anything, i just do it at night while i am watching tv. Its not like i choose to drink instead of doing work or studying.

IMHO as long as it doesn't really **** with your daily life, you're fine.Same thing with ***, ****, drugs, whatever lol.As long as your daily life ISN'T drugs, alcohol, whatever.....

i would say your not an alcoholic, my mother was one, so i grew up w/ it, a beer or 2 a night wont classify you as one, once you start drinking enough to get drunk, and do it all the time especially when your by yourself thats when u need to worry, also like everyone said, if its effecting your day to day life, quit

Alcoholism FTL. Trust me if you were an "Alcoholic" you wouldn't ask nor would you care. I frequent AA meetings, and alcoholism is no joke, stories I've heard could put you in tears. So yea, a couple beers is fine.

1-2 beers? isnt it good for you to have 1 a day ( I realize thats mainly red wine, but I heard a beer is good to)

My grandma was a serious alcoholic and she died of it (drank brake fluid or something along those lines)
