When I got my first system I didn't care when/where I bumped. Until I came to this site did I learn a new found respect for loud music. Now before I get to neighbor hood or large store I cut it down about a mile away for my own safety.

For future reference it would be advised that you turn down your bass in or while approaching residential areas. It is disrespectful to some people who wish to have peace and quiet in their home and to be disrespectful is only going to draw negative attention to yourself and could cause many unwanted problems. So for your safety please turn down your bass. Thank you.

I'd have smashed out a few windows, so you'd get the point.
My other fav trick is some custom paint work via zip strip. Quit being a douche and respect others...

Currently have some a-hole who races through the neighborhood on a Harley with loud pipes. I don't mind the sound as I ride also, but doing 40-50mph in a neighborhood full if kids isn't cool. I'll be paying him a late night visit soon...

Maybe the kids should get out of the street? I know my parents told me not to play in the street.

What is a reasonable time they should sleep? I mean there is public construction that goes on during the day, sounds from nightclubs/parks/etc at night...Is the lady going to leave notes with everyone who disturbs her?

you shouldn't have to be told to turn it down. You should responsible enough to know when your system is too loud for a given time and place.

True, but being to loud to me could means really loud to you. It all depends on where you live and stuff. This topic can go on and on and on but one thing is for sure two wrongs doesn't make a right. If you drove by my house with your music really loud I would probably just ignore it but if you are right next door I probably would come and ASK you nicely could you turn your music down. By me showing you RESPECT maybe you will be cool. But if I came out and started to talk to you like I have lost my mind 9 out of 10 you would just tell me me **** off. IMO it's all about a person approach.
