what head unit??

OK, I just got in my 10" jl audio W7 in an H.). wedge enclosure (ported), I plan to push it with a JBL 1200.1, what would be a good head unit to use under $250.00. Somthing that will go in my 2000 Pontiac grand am gt.

alright thats cool and all but what box i yours? the one with red comes with the jl sub if you choose to buy it with it and why would you drive 6.5 hrs away to pick up a sub you can get a the local dealer in mich many places sell me, car tunes, competition sound and wow electronis and another place on gratiot also a place on dequindre, what amp r u gettin?

I drove to ohio because it ways 113 lb, and it would of been $100.00 for shipping, I did not by from store because it would of cost alot more. At a store this would easily go for $650.00, but I got it for $305.00.

Ok, this is obviously more of an opinion oriented question, so here's my advice: just get a Crutchfield catalog and look through it for a head unit you like that's more than you want to spend, then find it somewhere else because crutchfield is a RIPOFF.

i would say go with alpine. i love the sound their HU's put out. i wish i had been smarter back in the day and gotten a alpine. pioneer is still good. it would be my second choice.

the 9815 is more than $250. for under that clarion makes some nice decks. go to thezeb.com they have good deals and the clarion decks are real nice for the money. imo
