What head unit would you recomend?

I am also looking for something in this price range that would go good with a my 1 12" type R and also go with a pair of components up front since after talking to people on this forum they think I will need them to get the sound I am looking for.

although alpine does make some nice units, there are many with better features for the same price.

Look into any pioneer premier unit if your'e looking for a decent amount of sound settings. If you want something more basic, alpine is a good option, but will lack the options that the premier has, for a $200 limit anyways.
