What happened to R&D and product advancement?

Seems like the loudspeaker business is sitting where is was a few years ago.....just cheaper prices for the same stuff..

New/Old companies just seem to be reproducing the same product....and stuffing spiders on a 12 spoke....and claiming high rms

But to answer your question, tooling is fkin expensive. And the economy has ground to a halt. No monies = no R&D

12 spoke actually. I believe softparts are a little more important then the hardware used. With thar said it depends on the goal in mind.
