I usually sip anejo tequila but my dad let me try a Abalour 16 yo scotch and it was very good

Most of the others he has had me try I don't care for

One of the really cool things about living in the NW is we're starting to see a lot of craft spirits and Bourbon is among my favorite. Not sure if you'll be able to get these where you're at but I like them:

Oh we gotta bring this thread back!! Since the start of COVID and the lock downs, illnesses and deaths, bad politics and general state of the world... What are we drinking now?

Got lots in the house from Woodford Reserve in several variations to Angels Envy to Liquor 43 which makes an awesome little shot for you shot drinkers. Goes like this:

Standard or double sized clear glass shot glass. Fill it 3/4 full of Liquor 43 then SLOWLY top off with heavy cream. It looks just like a miniature beer but taste outstanding. Kind of sweet, very smooth and will not treat you like a shot of whiskey does.

On the rocks or old fashion? On high proof neck pours sometimes I add few drops water to mellow out
