What EQ do you use?

Ive had my old Clarion for years and years, and its been abused and its still going like the day I bought it. Thing is a beast when it comes to reliability.

Anyway, Im about to do another system and thinking of trying a new EQ. What EQ do you use? How is it? Im looking for a nice output voltage and something I can mount in my dash with my radio, so single DIN as well.

Ive been looking at the Kicker KQ5, Kicker KQ9, Arc Audio KEQ5, and possibly the Audiocontrol FOUR.1, if its worth the price.

i had a kq9, just sold it. it sounded pretty good on my older HU with limited eq control. I got a new HU and it has a 7 band eq and i didnt like the way it was mounted, it was sliding off to one side, plus i needed the room for my free candy.

i also really liked the dedicated subwoofer control, cause my amp doesnt have that.

I use the Audio Control DQS. Though it's a trunk mount unit, you can use the DDC and place it in the DIN location you would the other EQs.

Not top of the line, but it is a parametric eq and it has a center channel output. Also acts as a line driver to the amps. I have no complaints.
