What does everyone think of elevation audio?

i also have used the execution and 1500... pretty good imo a 143 in a trunk is respectable... but their subs really are more sql imo.... but yea i think that their gear is good stuff no complaints from me
143 in a trunk car off of 3000 watts is kinda weak, maybe it was one of those cars with the gas tank between the trunk and the cabin.

Well got it, here are some crappy cell phone pics. Old kenwood 12" and beer can for reference.

Elevation Audio support is great. I sent them an email and the dude sent me one back like 10 minutes later! He said I have a first generation. He said put it in a 3cu ft box sealed. Anyone want to take a guess of the sub dasplacement? I have never had a driver this big. Also does the magnet need to be a certain amount of space from the back of the box? I sent nikosbuddy a pm too for suggestions.

I have two of there pro12's in a 3cf sealed box with a 1500dx and i hit a 142.6dbs at 52hz on a termlab with the car not running.. stock batt, no big 3 upgrade.. no sound deadner.

As far as elevation audio goes. there subs i personnaly think are great. there amps are even better.

if anyone has any ?'s about elevation product or needs install info just pm me. ive delt with alot of there products

not exactly what you'd call SPL subs though, ive seen too many people try to treat them as such and have them blown apart in no time.
Depends on that subs you are reffering to. The comp is a entry level sub, the sqx is entry level spl sub made for daily listing. The PRO is a SQL driver. Which performs amaing in both SPL and SQ but is not dedicated to either. The X or execusion is a SPL sub only and is made for Bass heads that have the know how.

As with any peice of audio equipment fundamentals are a must proper tunning of a amp, box specs currect volatage and proper use of the product.

no im refering to them all, especially the X .. ive played with them and was completely unimpressed by them. Ive also took a long hard look at their amps internals and they were not exactly power houses. But what do I know //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/uhoh.gif.c07307dd22ee7e63e22fc8e9c614d1fd.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

Yea good point what do you know? So what did you see on the dx1500.1 boards that made you belive they were not power houses? id say for a amp thats rated 1500 watts and has been tested to see around 1900-2000 watts.. Your right its probably not a good amp:rolleyes: Go flame another company. Maybe you should go take another hard look at the amps internals and not come back to this post, untill you know what you are talking about.

Yea I have personally tested a 15" X, 2 12" SQX, 2 12" comps, and 2 12" Pros.. By far not very impressive. The most recent test of 2 12" SQX's in an escort on an elevation 1500dx wasnt bad. I think we got it up to a 146.3 outlaw with the amp wired at .8 ohms. Impressed me for the equipment but not impressive.

Hell Ive had 3 of there amps. The 80.4 quit working (3 months) and even though I bought it straight from Joe since they came out with a new line (different board) they wouldnt fix it but would give me a discount on a new one //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif. I had the 200.2 for 1 day. Thats right folks 1 day and it caught fire. No shit. Flames coming out the back of the amp. Well that never got fixed. And I personally used a 1500dx that was nikkosbuddy which worked well for the week i used it.

O and Snoopdan's a newb...What does he know //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

lawl, since you're new i'll overlook what you said .... for now.

That 1500 was really cheaply made, if I remember corectly they were using $1 FET's and 1/4 watt carbon resistors on the motherboard (which BTW were burnt to a crisp as well as 3-5 FET's when I opened up Melnlovr's amp). It really wasnt even worth repairing, which is why it ended up in the trash.

Ive seen people use the Executioners as a SPL sub, try to give it about what its rated and have em fall apart. I know what ive seen, if you want to question that, thats fine with me. But you might want to look up some of the test video's ive done for other equipment on ROE, I think I have a pretty good perspecitve what a sub should and shouldnt do //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

He did make me LOL though. might not be good for advice but he sure is a funny guy.

must be a rep

well i will let you guys know what happens, i will be starting the box this weekend and working on it as time permits. I also have to save some money for all the power wires and other stuff. Its going in my new car I just got so we'll see what happens. It will be getting 1500 watts or so in the 3cu ft sealed box. I asked them about the ported and he said go with the sealed first and see how I like it. I may do a 4th order too and see what it sounds like in that.
