measure the ohms of the sub. I think its a DMM? I wanna get one so i can make sure that i wired my subs to 2ohms before i hook them up to the amp. Also how much do they cost and where can i get them from?
Yes. they are called multi-meters because they can read AC voltage, DC voltage, resistance (ohms), continuity, etc. The old ones were analog (needle type gauges) where as the new ones have digital read outs, hence the term DMM.
Due note that the value you see on your meter will be lower than 2 ohms when you read it. It will probably read between 1.5 and 1.8 ohms. This is normal as you're measuring DC resistance instead of nominal impedance.
