what hits harder in SPL. Ported or sealed or Vented?

ported, the L7 is a good idea, i have two L5's in a sealed box runnin off a tsunami1100D and it gets pretty loud

so if i got 4 L7 12" and 2 Rockford 1500bd... it should sound really good and have like 8 4" ports?

ported/ vented = the same thing. ported beats sealed in spl

yea that would run you a lot more money than its worth though, id go with hifonics bx1500d's off ebay instead of rockfords, theyre probably cheaper....120$. and there is a lot of calculating that goes into selecting ports and their sizes, you cant just randomly select your port numbers and sizes

yea probably, i heard that rangerman designs ported boxes with some computer programs and if you pay him he'll design you one for the most SPL. if he does do that, i would deffinately have him do it for me, he knows what hes doing and it would save you a lot more trouble than its worth to design and calculate ports yourself.....

but if you have the money 2 12L7's, a hifonics bx1500d for 220 off ebay, and a big ported box should get you some decent numbers

I'll be glad to design you a ported box. If you want to come down one day and see the program I have, I cantake some measurements and get the box right. I live in Northern NC.

well if i get the subs and amp i will probably take it up to CARRSS.. which is a huge shop.. Cory Alexander owns it.. former NBA player.. he has some of the best setups i have ever seen. Excursion with 12 15".... i like his fiberglass work so i might go get my shit molded.
