What amp would be recomanded for this set up?

2 Soundstream t-5 12's.

Would you pay for this--> $2,000 for a trunk custom glass install. boxes in the corner panels with amp rack in middle. Dynamat throughout the trunk walls, deck, panels, roof, trunk lid.

This amp...

Sometimes it doesnt smell at chill volumes. BUT... Wierd Smell!!!! When I have this amp cranked it just a bit to get the beat down goin on it starts smelling like a sulfuric smell. It does not smell like it is burning. I dont have the gain more than 2/5 up. I am only pulling a 4ohm load. I just have one sub in the car now.

Probably some sort of thermal paste or paint burning.

Is it new?

If so, it could possibly some paint burning... which is normal.

Same ish happens to computers... if you boot a new one up and play a game, it smells like your PC's melting... but for some reason Manufactures paint their internals.

If it's not paint, it could be some other component... as long as it doesn't smell like plastic or metal burning you're straight.

As for the build, ehhh... if you're gunna make your car into a show car, go for it...

If not, build a regular *** box and put in the deadener by yourself. You'll save AT LEAST $1,000 dollars.

No, I wouldn't pay 2000 dollars just for that. I know fiberglassing is expensive, but I am sure you could find someone else that knows what they are doing for cheaper.

I mean unless you have money to blow, then go for it, but to much chedder for me.

They are deading the car and reiforcing the back deck and issolating the rear deck speakers, the two boxes, and an amp rack under the rear deck. I am not sure what to do, but I want these subs to be happier. and I want what I have to sound cleaner.
