Well im going to be upgrading soon. I will most likely be getting a hifonics XX06D, most likely the 1206 or the 1606. I will be building my own box. It will be whatever size is good for the subs i get and tuned to around 30-32. Im mainly after SQL. Im debating whether i should just get the type-r's, or be different and get new CV V-MAX's, or the PG RSD's......They all will be in similar price range, but i cant spend more than 130 per sub. I havent really heard much about either the new v-max's or the rsd's.

i used to have some CV 15's, about 10 yrs ago.. and since i know what they sounded like and what kind of quality i have been used to in both CV's home and car audio, i would guess the v-max's would be very nice.. i looked at them closely but ended up with the AA's cuase everyone was saying good things and i got them during a good sale..($75 each) or i would have the CV's now..

Well i havent heard much on them and I dont want to be disappointed. How do you think theyd compare to the type r's in sound quality and in loudness? Im sure they sound pretty good, but do they have the potential to get lous ported? And Im getting the Hifonics 1606d, so around 800 to each, probably a little less.

Btw, how are the assasins sealed? Do you think theyd get decently loud ported?

sealed the assassins are very loud, and excellent SQ.. Especially with my new HU, i am really just amazed.. i dont know about ported.. i dont have allot of room to go with a large box, I wish.. i actually just started a thread on how i might be able to add ports to my box, and then i will be able to tell you.. but again, i am afraid my box just might not be big enough to port..

as for the cerwin vegas

they used to be the shit..

there home speakers are the bomb

I bet they are great..

but i am guessing... unfortunately..

Ya, im undecided. Il probably just end up getting 2 type-r's. I know i wont be disappointed. I really like the look of the rsd'd, but i dont think theyll hit as hard or be as loud as the r's.
