Really? I was just by going retail value. Type R 15 is 199 and Type X 10 is around 240ish. I'd rather have the 15 but that's just me....

This would not be my main sub as that is all taken care of( 13w7 ), it would be a back up sub.

I would have it ported and tuned low , perfer SQL /SQ over Getting more spl.

The car is a 2000 vw golf so anything gets loud in there.

The 10 will depreciate in value more when you try to resell it because there is smaller market for single 10s. If it was a pair of 10s, they will sell quicker. Most people will prefer more cone area when it is a reasonable value. Your last sentence pretty much proves my theory.
