I'm in the market for a subwoofer and trying to do it as cost-effective as possible. I don't need overwhelming bass, just want additional bass when playing music at lower volume levels. When I play music at louder volumes, I am quite comfortable with the bass performance of my speakers. That being said, I think I've found a sub that I like. It's a DD LE-M08. It comes with the enclosure, won't take up too much trunk space, fits my budget, and I am thinking this will be a good choice for the trunk of my 1991 Honda Accord.
Of course, all the research that I have done has been online (and with a telephone call to a DD dealer). So, I really haven't listened to anything, yet. However, I don't really think I'm going to get an accurate representation from any demo at a brick and mortar store. It looks like it is going to be trial and error.
But, before I go and get this sub, I just wanted to get some of your opinions.
