What do you think about the Israeli Iranian War Possibilities?

Your saying that I am only posting as to tell everyone there is a War happening duck and cover? No, I am curious as to what other people have to say about the situation. Honestly if it does happen what can we expect? Your comin in here saying that im telling everyone there is a war when im just curious about possibilities of a future war. Your blind and ignorant. God just read the Title..Possibilities dude..Possibilities..
I don't have a problem with people discusising the possibility of war, but I think those people should only include those who are at the highest levels of our government. You sir, have no authority to speak on behalf of these United States.

/thread.

there is always possibilities

I mean there is a possibility that China will eventually invade Taiwan

there is a possibility that the world will end in 2012

there is a possibility that I will eat pizza tonight

Well, it certainly helps when the members of your armed forces understand that the threat on their country's existence is real and constant.

BINGO!

This nation has not had a war that threatened its' existence?????? ever. WWII had Pearl Harbor, but the mainland was not really threatened.

WWI was never here.

This is the problem I have with the current situation in Iraq and why I left the military in 92. We are not fighting for OUR freedom.

Funny how the people fighting against our troops in Iraq are called "Insurgents," by our govt.

What would we be called if the US were invaded by (pick a country).

Would we all surrender or fight back? Would we then also be insurgents??

stating the conflicts in which the US was directly involved

I don't consider supplying hardware and intelligence directly involved. At the outset I'd say indirectly involved.

Directly involved is like the Russians flying MIGS for Korea during the Korean conflict.

Yet you have authority to speak? No, it is something that should be discussed with the younger generation as well. Who in this thread is in the highest levels of our government? I assure you no one on CA.com is. I believe I have the right to say what I please. It's my country as well, don't belittle me.

you sir are correct. The only reason we havent had a war on mainland US is because it would be too difficult to make it happen with our location.

Lets hope we never see Canada or Mexico try to take a place on the world stage:)

I hear you

but the US helped turn the tide of the Yom Kippur War

http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/ops/yom_kippur.htm

US Navy forces quickly sortied in response to the war, with two CVBGs (Independence and Roosevelt) and an amphibious force in the Mediteranean and a CVBG (Kennedy) in the Eastern Atlantic. On 25 October U.S. forces went on Defense Condition (DEFCON) III alert status, as possible intervention by the Soviet Union was feared. The Kennedy CVBG and additional amphibious forces entered the Mediterranean.
On 14 October the US Air Force began Operation Nickel Grass, a major airlift to Israel. Ending on 14 November, the airlift transported 22,395 tons of supplies. The airlift was significant because it offset the Soviet airlift to Egypt and Syria, it overcame Israel's critical shortage in certain military items, and it strengthened Israel's overall military position.

On 26 October, CINCSAC and CINCONAD reverted to normal DEFCON status. On 31 October USEUCOM (less the Sixth Fleet) went off DEFCON III status. The Sixth Fleet resumed its normal DEFCON status on 17 November.

I remember reading a book that the US had their troops fighting with the Israelites......I need to research

The Middle east is BS. They need to f*cking grow up and stop fighting over petty things such as religion....They have all been so brainwashed by their government, and it is really messing up world peace and affairs. They are willing to die over something that can never be proved.

You simply do not have the diplomatic experience to be posting in this thread. Besides, you are a hothead.
