What do you recommend?

I have an Orion 900.2 amp (225x2 @4ohm, 900x1 @4ohm) that I am going to use to power two Boston Acoustic 12" subs. I have not yet bought the subs. My question is should I get SVC or DVC subs. I am trying to think of the best way to wire them getting a 4 or 2 ohm load and 450W each. Thanks.

Get two dual 4ohm so you can bridge your amp and give them 450W each.

What series are you looking into?

WAIT. DO NOT GET DUAL VOICE COILS. You have to understand the way electricity works. The amp will produce 225 watts in 4 ohms per channel. The amp will produce more watts PER channel in 2 ohms. So if you want to get 2 ohms per channel than get the dual voice coils. If you wan to bridge the channels and basically get 450 watts per channel then get SVC. TRUST ME...its easier to get SVC and then just bridge the channels. DO NOT bridge the channels and get DVC, its more confusing to make it work that way.

Anyways. Get dual 4ohm subs and you can wire it to 4ohms so your amp will be bridged. Besides, DVC subs allow you to have more verstile setup(s). You are rather limited with two SVC 2ohm subs.
