What do you find more impressive?

I'm looking at doing a new build and I cant decide what route I wanna go.

What would you guys find more impressive; a multiply sub setup like 6-8 cheap 15's in a big *** sealed box that murders the lows daily or a Single or Dual sub setup such as some HD3/MOJO/BTL...

I like the simplicity of a Single 18" or two 15's and I know I could get just as loud... But I was thinking I could do 8 of the orion cobalt 15's in about 30 cubes ported with 400 inches of port tuned to about 30hz //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Then again I think a single HD3 18" in a 4th order bandpass on 3k daily would be pretty loud too..

Let me know some input keeping subs under 500-600 and power in the 3-4k range.

thanks in advance

when you say full blow through do you mean a walkthrough meaning there is no back including window and you have a capper? in that case i would do 4 18s in a pacman box or try to squeeze in 6 15s

Go with a single sub. You'll get loud and you'll get sound quality. I may get yelled at for this, but loudness means nothing if it's all distortion. SQ over SPL anyday!

It's a full walkthrough, but I have a fiberglass top. It gets LOUD. with one 15 on 400 watts it beats pretty good. im gonna seal it off though for whatever i do so it will be just like a regular blowthrough
