What did you pay for your alt.

I got a quote and am about to purchase a high output alternator.

Iraggi quoted me for a rebuilt stock one at 200amp for 395. 595 for a large case one.

Excessive quoted me 325 for a 220.

HO alternators quoted me for 525.

Excessive seems pretty low to the others I was just curious what other people ar epaying and how many have bought from excessive amperage. I jus tthink its a little odd being so low compared to the others

I paid $150 to have my stock unit rewound locally. The actual price was $130 but the guy treated me so well (from the time I pulled into their parking lot to the time I left with a freshly rebuilt alternator was only 45 minutes and this included them taking the unit off of my car, taking it inside and rewinding it, then re-installing it on the car) I tipped the guy $20 to make an even $150.

I paided alittle over 1 dollar per amp.

So 365 dollars shipped to me in canada for a 300amp alt.

500 dollars...Yeah I know alot Its a 250 amp HO alt. Guy is local though, and it has a lifetime waranty and free replacement if any components go bad. The peace of mind of knowing that the guy I bought it from was only a 10 minute drive away was worth the extra cash.

345 for a non-domestic 200 amp alty from excessive...it bolted right in place of the old one...however the case got banged up before he got it, meh....I haven't put it through it's paces yet thought.

I paid $450 for an Ohio Generators alt for my CRX from a member on here who said it was a 285...When i got it it was a 160....I have a complaint filed through paypal as of now...but I doubt I'll get anything back ...

I was having a weird problem, but then found out it was something to do with the cables. My Excessive alternator is fine, besides the whining sound... but I'm getting used to it.

I will be going with a 300 A Iraggi alternator when I have the money.
