what did i do wrong

what jacks are the rca's on the H/U attached to?.. is there an option to turn them on or off in the settings on the H/u.. I know some have that option..

how loud have you turned up the gain and the H/u volume?..

are the subs new?

well he says he tried it in 2 cars I believe from what i read so I dont think its a problem with the sub-w turned off on the headunit. If the ground was not sufficient you could have blown the amp and it might still light up. Did you use the same speaker on both cars? might be the speaker. make sure your gains are turned on and the bottuns on your amp are properly set for the correct channels. if running multi channels that you dont have crossed pos and neg cables on the different speakers. If using the bass bosst that it is properly installed and turned up. other than that It could just be adefective unit if it never worked.
