i have a problem with my 12v constant. when i turn on my hu it will not store any memory due to a non constant 12v. I have to manually turn on my hu once i start up my car and have to re adjust my settings(pain in the a$$). It dosent turn on where it left off on cds or any thing, like it should. i already checked my wireing on my hu and i aslo had this same probelm with the stock hu so i know it cant me my new alpine hu. what could be causing this cuz my clock in the car dosent work either and my cig lighter will work every time and it has a 12v constant which i dont get.

one of your fuses has got to be out. the clock and cig lighter have seperate fuses. i had a similar problem-ended up checking the fuses and the memory fuse was out which caused the head unit to reset itself everytime the ignition went on or off

Yup, I'd just run a new +12v constant to your HU (from the battery)...and splice it with your factor harness as well. Also, check your Red wire...ignition.

Replace the fuse if busted, if not splice into the lighter power lead.
