what could it be im stumped

so u have your power going straight from the battery to the amp with a fuse just in case it shortcircuits as close to the battery? then, you grounded the ground wire from the amp to a close part in the chasis of the car, free of rust n paint? then did you connect your remote wire from the amp to the HU? i dont think the remote wire is essential, i think, correct me if i m wrong, that it's only used so that your amp turns on/off whenever u turn on/off ur HU.

if you did all this n still aitn working, one of the experts here should tell u about it. n they may come soon.

yeah i have eveyhting done right that matador has said. I have checked it many times my amp just wont turn on and its really frusterating. please i need everyones ideas help

What kind of amp?

yeah check the fuses for the amp, the ones on the amp n the one on the power wire.

one thing tho, did your amp work before? if after checking everythin n still not working i guess i'll say do trial n error kinda. borrow another amp or something, n put it in ur car w ur wires n stuff n see if it works. if doesn't, then some wire or fuse or something. if it works, then there might be somethin wrong w ur amp. good luck

Get a voltmeter (DMM or VOM) or 12 volt tester. Put the neg lead on your amp's ground terminal. Measure the +12 terminal and make sure there's power there. Measure the REM terminal and make sure there's power there too. If both are +12 volts and the amp isn't on, it's broken.

Measure RIGHT AT THE AMP'S TERMINALS. Don't assume that just because there's a wire between two points the voltage must be the same. It could be something as simple as a bad crimp terminal on a wire.

That happend to me. I Was running new rcas and cranked the car and the dam amps didnt turn on. I messed with some wires and 1 came on and then just got pissed and pussed it all out and re-wired it and put it all back.

And what would you know it worked again.
