I always buy Sony, but i read recently that most CDR's will go bad even after a few years. I read that kodak and memorex use 24k gold to coat their cd's in order to prevent the oxidation process, which makes the CD last 300 years.

I'm curious to know what other people use

i use whatever is on sale at the time i'm buying. i dont plan on keeping them 300 years

I have always bought the 100 packs, but really, I haven't bought one in a loooong time as I barely use them now, haven't had a system done in years so..no use for anything really. I think I paid 40ish dollars for the last 100 pack i bought at wallyworld. not too bad.

taiyo yuden. Best cd ever!
yes it is. people that use memosux may regret that later. memorex is made by cmc magnetics. the worst blank media manufacturer ever. you can really tell good blank media when burning dvd's. i've had spindles of memosux dvd's that gave me failed burns 1 out of every 2 tries. never had a single failed burn with taiyo yuden. you can actully download a freeware program that tells you who made the blank disc. dvd identifier. sony is good. tdk is good. tayo yuden is good. maxell gold tops are good. i stick to those.
