Hey guys whats goin on.

I am buying a new car within the next few days here assuming everything goes well... Here are my 4 choices so far.. Keep in mind having a big loud stereo is important

1. 1998 Red Mitsu. Eclipse GTS (I think...the one with the turbo). 105K miles on it. Can get it for $5700. Body is in great condition. New spark plug wires, many of the belts have been replaced. Car is pretty clean. Interior in good condition. New brakes. Decent trunk space...LOVE the stock rear speaker placement.

2. 2001 Black Pontiac GrandAm w/ alloy rims. In EXCELLENT condition. 114K miles. asking $6000 Body is in great condition, no damage, interior is very clean, come with remote start. New rotors/brakes. Back seats fold down for a sealed off trunk for the system

3. 1998 Forrest Green Honda Accord. 100Kmiles, asking $5450. Body is in good shape, except for some road wear, and few scratches/door dinks on the doors. I dont think the back seats fold down though so gettin loud is tough

4. 2000 Toyota Celica Black. 110K miles, asking $6000. Body has no damage except for a key mark down the right side, but it is repairable...besides that it is in great condition. Has a HUUUGE trunk space for a hatch, thats one thing I really like about it.

Considering all these cars have about 100K on it...I think all of these prices are pretty darn good. let me know what you guys think.

Eclipse will be the most fun.

Accord will be the the most plesent day to day.

Both will hold their resale well.

Dont even bother with the celica or grand am.

Grand am is total piece of ****, celica is a joke.

Agreed eclipse for performance and looks or accord for reliabilty and comfort.

yea I looked on consumer reports...the GrandAm is HORRIBLE, and the eclipse is not to far behind... BUT I see people driving that model eclipse EVERYWHERE!!.

so I am leaning towards the Celica or Accord...problem with the accord is the back seats dont fold down, and thats a HUGE issue with my criteria. Celica has one of the biggest hatch spaces on a hatchback you will find...its deep as hell

If you dont mind the lack of power and boy racer looks then i'd go for the celica. You just wont have near as much wiggle room as in the accord. And its hard to beat a four door, assuming thats what the accord is.

Also, forgot to add. Don't go with the Grand Am, they have a very bad failure rate, and cost quite a bit of $$$ to get back to good running shape, once one thing goes, 11 more things go with it. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif Which is why I'm starting to dislike my **** GA.

Wouldnt go w/ any of those cars, but since it is not me and if I had to choose, I would go w/ the Accord being they seem to last forever! Are you like doing major competing w/ the car or something? That would be the only reason I would buy a car just to get a loud vechichle. Just get a CRX and call it a day. If you dont get the cord, then the Eclispe would be my choice, although I smoked my 2002 Eclispe GTS w/ my Focus ST, LOL! Half the reason why I sold the mitz. Is a lot heavier IIRC than the year you are looking at though. I dont like to buy used turbo cars w/ over 100k on them though.
