reason i think i need 1 is by my user name...i have a Baja bug(old beetle) that me and my dad are restoring and making it really sweet. but its a VW altenator so its not alot of power im sure this is the upgrade because stock is a generator.

capacitors are not good for weak alt's or in your case generators.

just buy the best battery you can.

see if you can upgrade to a higher capacity alt buy using custom brackets... I've seen a couple bugs with bass in them, so I'd imagine there's a way to do it...

i just found out that 1 one on my sand rail is a 51amp. and the other 1 is a 51amp also.

so my monster cable cap is the same as a vr^3 one. J/K

Upgrade the alt first. New battery installed, nothing will change. Dimming will still occur. Get a new alt.

Then perform the Big 3.

a 51amp altentor wont run a 800watt system. i kind over exagerated. i only have a couple neons that barly take any power and regular lights.
