Wrong, the big three is;

1: the alternator to battery +

2: battery - to chassis, because you use the chassis to ground your system

3: battery - to engine, because that is the alternator's ground.

well i was close...and the battery is still being charged in that way^

but in my uncles car and i think in mine the alt wires go to the battery directly
