What boredom, a router, and some MDF gets you

used to look like this..now has much wider top and wider bottom and a new keyboard tray, all made from 3/4" MDF used a roundover bit on both sides to round all the edges out

it just has to hold a desktop, not a 42" tv .....and its 49" wide by 19" deep

I would paint it for sure as MDF sucks when you get it wet and will swell and fall apart. Looks nice though...

what did you use to cut out the new shapes? tablesaw+jigsaw?

just used a retangular piece of mdf....used the old pieces to get the arc thats in the front...used an old sub cutout piece to get the corner radius' and then rough cut it with a jig saw, smoothed it out with a palm sander then roundover bit
