...would you purchase for $200/pair (give or take maybe 50 bucks). i'd prefer not to assemble any crossovers or enclosures, but i do realize that could limit my choices for the worse so give me your opinions. i'm open to suggestions. i plan on running around 100w per @ 8ohm off a 5.1 receiver... sub will more than likely be an rl-i 8" (0.7 ft^3 ~ 24hz)... I do understand that 200 dollars won't get me anything serious but i'm broke and need something decent to start out with. i'm interested in a setup that's superior/comparable to something like an infintiy primus pair or polk rti4...

these will NOT be a part of a surround setup, strictly 2.1....

right so what drivers etc...

i lack money, time, and experience building HT speaks so lets do this a step at a time

example: would the dayton kit at partsexpress be comparable/superior to other mainstream crap or is it not even worth the time/effort to build it?

sq...but they still can't be some ***** *** drivers that'll blow from 100w of cheap power

i'm just looking for other options besides the mainstream...infinity, polk, klipsch, even athena... looking for something around the same price range (150~250 TOTAL for the pair) that's actually worth getting over the mainstream stuff...

build you some..i bet you could get some going for around 200...thats about how much mine were...
Oh I will. Just If I do now, I'm gonna try to figure out a way to get them in a dorm room, and that would be kinda nuts.

The tweets are gonna cost more than the NSB's though, thats the bad part.... but I will make some, you can count on that. After my extremis project and possibly a new truck (well, new to me, my current one has issues)

good luck finding any NSB's... especially for 50 cents a peice..if you do find some let me know where, i could use some more.

The PSB Alpha B monitors got an editor's choice award in TAS (The Absolute Sound) and they list for $249....
