what are some good rca?

whatever their shielding is it works! i had bad noise issues in my install once going active and the problem was resolved by switching my rca's to the krystal kables.
Yeah but according to somebody here that cut them open and looked at them the shields are not grounded or something. Idk, work great for me! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

First of all, a soldered connector on an RCA cable is the highest quality you can get. Much better than molded. At least with a soldered set they can be repaired. As far as loose is concerned, what the hell are you putting your cables through to have them falling apart on you. If they were loose when you got them and you tightened them they physically shouldn't come loose again unless you loosen them yourself. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif
You misunderstood what I wrote. Soldered connections and metal barrels were the strong points.

I don't abuse my equipment, I take VERY good care of it. For THREE sets of RCA's to come out of the packaging with the barrels loose is unacceptable. I tightened them down, and installed them. I came back a week later and they were still loose.

I had no noise before I switched to the Krystals, but I also changed out other equipment at the same time. I will change out the RCA's and see if they are the culprit for a raised noise floor.

I have used a lot of Knu's equipment, and IMO they are just another boner company on this forum. People like them, people don't. The way it is.

Oops, must have misunderstood what you meant. Sorry.

What do you mean by STILL LOOSE?? Or did you mean to say LOOSE AGAIN??

I have used a lot of Knu's equipment, and IMO they are just another boner company on this forum. People like them, people don't. The way it is.
Yes, they are a forum boner. Along with SI, Adire, RE etc. There have been alot of boners on this forum over the past 5 years. I've never used anything by knuconceptz. They're low cost but I've stayed away because you usually get what you pay for.

Best bet is the equipment but yes you should try different RCA's to be sure. Just make sure you route them the same way you routed your Krystals.

I tightened them as hard as I could with my hands; I wasn't going to throw pliers on the connectors and completely trash the barrels.

Their Kompression fittings are just terrible. They aren't the only company that sells the fittings either. Stick with set screws. I completely agree with "Get what you paid for" ... I'm done with cheap products.

I'll change out the RCAs before I remove the system from my Grand... Just bought a wrangler.
