What Amp?

FYI, you can do much better then those for $210 a piece.....much much better

I'de reccomend reading around on the forums before you make any decisions man. I dont wanna bash JL, but for JL's pricing, you could get an insane system for the same cost

For example, you could get two Fi SSD 12's (800RMS each), for LESS than those JL's, and they are built much better.

get two dual 1 ohm models, and this amp to power them:

http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_12211_Hifonics+BXi+1608D.html

and you got yourself one hell of a system, which i promise you will have more output then those JL's ever would.

and this is only one reccomendation, there are tons of options out there that would blow those JL's out of the water

x2

thats a little better yes. I still reccomend doing some research before ya purchase though! For example, look at the structure of that JL sub and its price, and compare it to the structure of the Fi sub that i linked you.

Either way good luck with the setup. For subs at a decent price, i would reccomend Fi (http://www.ficaraudio.com), the ever so popular Alpine Type-R (can be had at sonicelectronix and ebay cheap, and will destroy the JL's. I know, i use them). For a budget amp, you cant go wrong with Hifonics.

You may even want to check the classifieds here on the forum.

Thanks for the info. I will keep looking. That Fi does look strong!!!

alpine type r 15's can handle 1200 rms daily. I would get two of them.
if not 15's, then 12's.

Go with a hifonics amp
This man speaks wisdom!

although im alpine subs/hifonics amps biased.

Popular non mainstream subs:

-Fi (ficaraudio.com)

-RE Audio (buy em used if you want a good price)

-Audioque (im not sure of the website)

-Some other ones i am not so familiar with are DC Sounds, Sundown Audio, Incriminator Audio

As for amps

-Hifonics (one of the best budget amps out there)

-Sundown Audio

-Incriminator Audio

-Kenwood makes awesome budget amps for 1000RMS or less, sonicelectronix sells them for great prices. I put kenwood amps in both my sister and girlfriends cars.
