What Amp would you recommend for 2 15" Kicker S15L5's?

I have two 15 inch Kicker S15L5's in my 2006 Honda Civic LX

I used to run them on 1 Boss PH4000D 4000 Watt Monoblock Class D Amplifier untill that amp blew for unknown reasons.

I'm looking to get another amp for around $200-$300

The specs for the Kickers are:

• 15" Solo-Baric L5 Series Subwoofer

• Power Handling:

-Peak: 1500 watts

-RMS: 750 watts

• Titanium deposit impregnated cone woofer with rolled outer edge

• Santoprene rubber surround

• Stamped steel basket

• Vented 360° back bracing

• Rear foam gasket

• Spring loaded terminals

• Poly-cotton semi-progressive spider

• Heat-dispersing, solid pole piece

• Spiralead™ tinsel leads

• High-temperature dual 2 ohm voice coils

• Frequency response: 20-100 Hz

• Sensitivity: 88 dB

I've been researching possible choices for what amp to buy, but i'm not sure what amp would be the best for my subs,

I wanted to get a SPL FX1-5500D Monoblock or a Hifonics Brutus BRZ2100.1D

What would y'all say would be a good amp (the two listed or any other suggestions) for these subs?

I have a stock electirc system with the exception of a 500k micro farad capacitor i quess,

dump the cap get 0 gauge wires and do the big 3,also i can get you a new tx 1 300 soundstream for 300 shipped with warranty Soundstream - Tarantula Amplifiers

your going to want to find a amp that will do 1500rms at 2ohms.

that just seems like alot of $ to spend to run 2-L5's

Since you have two of these subs, your options for an amp are:

-1500w RMS @ .5 ohms

-1500w RMS @ 2 ohms

-1500w RMS @ 8 ohms (I believe)

 

So, focusing on the 2 ohm configuration, you're going to run 1 sub in parallel and one in series. This is the load I would go with because many amps aren't .5 ohm stable, and, well, have fun paying for an amplifier that will put out 1500w at 8 ohms. Anyway, the Kicker ZX1500.1d amplifier is probably what I'd reccomend. It's an expensive amplifier, but Kicker amps are great, and they'll pump out even more than what they're rated at. If you want to go a cheaper route, you could go with the Hifonics BRZ2100.1d, just becareful not to blow the subs. I don't know why, but a lot of Kickers blow when they're powered over too much. But if you're smart with your gains, you'll be fine.
