What amp would you recomend?

My current amp is the Hifonics Brutus BXI2610D 2600 Watt D-Class Mono Amplifier which is running a Pioneer Premier TSW-W8102SPL sub. The RMS for the sub is 3000 watt but for some reason it smells hot when played at high volume. I read that if you under power these subs that they can blow but I don’t know if I need to get a better amp or if the smell is normal. Thanks for the help.

Your clipping your amp, your trying to get 3000 watts out of a amp that probely only puts out 2000 clean watts. Learn how to set your gain properly and you will not smoke that sub.
